And yet systems thinking is not that “fashionable”, companies are still hammering the WIP limits at team level. One of my biggest fears is that key people who can change things will fall back on AI tools and therefore lack of creativity and enough data for that thinking to become more based on flow and outcomes. With current focus still being teams we are not feeding algorithms with good data but we will expect that they will spit some magic out on the other side in the near future that will be applied to a strategic level. Garbage in means garbage out and I am afraid we will skip a beat and apply wrong things to wrong levels. I want to be wrong so hopefully i can be told so! 🙏
